Below are the Front cover, Title page and Back cover designs.
This is the first spread I drew after the author, Steve Warren-Brown told me what the fourth story was about. "In the middle of the night there was a huge crash. Grandfather Ash had fallen over." I envisaged this story being more serious than the previous three titles. The message of life, death and rebirth as well the threat to our forest by invasive insects and diseases. The darker theme was carried through to the colours used on the page. Most of the story takes place at night. It's only the last spread that reveals the transformation of Grandfather Ash to a bridge between the Wacky Forest and Ash Meadow, bringing the two communities together.
